Silex Media announces Vincent Benveniste as Director Sales & Business Development
Vincent Benveniste - a 20 year veteran in IT communications - joined Silex media in October 2006 to lead the Solution provider's sales and business development efforts. As native French, Benveniste will also head up the Southern Europe operations from the Paris office.
Prior to Silex Media, Benveniste was Regional Manager for Sendmail Inc., the email security expert powering 35% of the Internet traffic. In his 6 year tenure he held numerous positions in sales, business development and marketing, driving the shift of email from a low value high volume medium to one of the most critical application serving top financials and mobile providers across Europe.
At Lucent, he notably helped establish the company as the leader in call centers across Europe in less than 3 years at the time the enterprise voice market was moving from a cost to a profit center. Working from the EMEA headquarters in Waterloo, Belgium, Benveniste was in charge of the Enterprise telephony product line management. Prior to leaving in 2000, he led the sales development effort at Avaya France for new applications, such as VOIP. Avaya is now the leader in this space.
Before Avaya, he spent 5 years at Apple Computer Europe to develop network services, including networked based corporate email and Wide Area voice and data services.
Vincent Benveniste started his career in 1986, piloting computer conferencing services in a venture he co-founded with support from France Telecom.
Benveniste has a certificate in Biology from the Jussieu University in Paris.
